We are thrilled to announce that CyberM8 Initiative NPC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), marking the beginning of a powerful partnership aimed at advancing cybersecurity innovation, capacity building, and education in South Africa. This strategic alliance will combine CyberM8’s expertise in cybersecurity advocacy and skills development with CSIR’s deep-rooted research capabilities, creating a collaborative foundation for groundbreaking initiatives that address the country’s cybersecurity needs.

Under the terms of this three-year agreement, CyberM8 and CSIR will focus on multiple initiatives, including human capacity development, training programs, resource mobilization, and joint participation in cybersecurity projects. By leveraging CSIR’s state-of-the-art research infrastructure and CyberM8’s extensive network, this partnership aims to drive forward-thinking solutions and develop the skills required to meet the demands of an increasingly digital society.

Thabang Phala, Chief Empowerment Officer (CEO) of CyberM8, shared his excitement about the partnership:
